On Friday, May 3rd, the gallery will be hosting an art opening for Featured Artist Amie Campbell. Campbell is an artist from Bloomington, IN who creates brilliant, vibrant paintings that reflect the beauty of nature.
On Friday, June 7th, the gallery will be hosting an art opening for Featured Artist David Keel. Keel is a Chicago artist who creates mixed media and acrylic based work that often focuses on nature and water scenes.
On Friday, July 12th, the gallery will be hosting an art opening for represented artist Matthew Schaefer.
Schaefer, an Evanston artist, creates large-scale figurative work in the Abstract Expressionist style.
During the month of August, we will be presenting a show of new work by gallery artists. The gallery will be hosting a First Friday on Friday, August 2nd, from 5-7 PM.

On Friday, September 6th, the gallery will be hosting an art opening for Featured Artist Tamar Kander. Kander is based near Bloomington, IN, and creates striking mixed media work that she sees as a metaphor for experience and an expression of what she sees and feels. Please be sure to see her exhibit!
On Friday, October 4th, the gallery will be hosting an art opening for Featured Artist Susan Jacoby. Jacoby is a Winnetka artist who creates abstract landscapes that depict nature, including bodies of water, rolling hills, and forests.
On Friday, November 1st, the gallery will be hosting an art opening for Featured Artist Jane D’Angelo. D’Angelo is a Northfield artist who creates beautiful landscapes and still lives; her trademark is her wonderful use of light and shadow. Be sure to stop in to see her show!
During the month of December, we will be presenting a show of new work by gallery artists. We will hold a First Friday opening on December 1 from 5-7pm. As the exhibit approaches, we’ll have more information, so please check back!
On Friday, April 5th, the gallery will be hosting an art opening for Featured Artist Julie Cowan. Cowan is an Evanston artist who creates lithographies that depict distorted scenes, including flora, architecture, and portraiture.
On Friday, March 1st, the gallery will be hosting an art opening for Featured Artist Brigitte Wolf. Wolf is based in Chicago, and creates striking abstract work. Please be sure to see her exhibit!
On Friday, February 2nd, the gallery will be hosting an art opening for special exhibitor Izzy Cho. Cho is an emerging Chicago artist, having recently graduated from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Cho creates print, sculpture, and installation artwork that engages with ideas related to her Korean-American identity.

On Friday, November 3rd, we will be hosting an art opening for Featured Artist Dorothy Alig.
On Friday, October 6th, the Hubbard Woods Design District will host its annual Art Walk event. Each store will be showcasing the work of a local artist, as well as offering special promotions and refreshments. Live music will also be playing throughout the district. At Vivid, we will be hosting an art opening for Featured Artist Larry Simon. Don’t miss this unique event!
On Friday, September 8th, we will be hosting an art opening for Featured Artist Patricia Dolan. Due to the Labor Day holiday, this opening will take place on the second Friday of the month.
During the month of August, we will be presenting a group show. There will be an art opening for this exhibit on Friday, August 4th from 5-7 PM.

In April, we will be hosting an art opening for Featured Artist Wendy Briggs Powell. This will be a special opening, as it will occur on the second Friday of the month, April 14th, and will take place during the gallery’s regular business hours. Wendy will also be on hand during the opening to talk with visitors about her unique work, and will be giving an artist talk at 6 PM.
On Friday, March 3rd, we will be hosting an art opening for Featured Artist Vanessa Filley.
On Friday, February 3rd, we will be hosting an art opening for Special Exhibitors Lainey Peltier and Sara Lam. Both are currently students at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC), and also work here at the gallery! Lainey, a graduate student at SAIC, is a printmaker whose work aims to encourage viewer connection with the land and a focus on the environment. Sara, a senior, mixes figurative elements with abstraction using an exuberant color palette that reflects her Texas roots. We hope to see you on February 3rd!
In January, we’ll be open by appointment only until the 31st, when we resume normal business hours. We will be rotating paintings in our windows throughout the month; be sure to check them out!

Since we did not hold an opening for Lisa’s exhibit, we will be hosting a “Meet the Artist” event on Saturday, March 12, from 1 - 4 pm. Stop in to watch Lisa demonstrate her scratchboard work and talk about her inspiration and process. Guaranteed to be both informative and fun!
This month, we will be presenting an exhibit curated by Shannon Cahill of Art en Object, an art consulting firm in Evanston. Shannon has assembled an exciting group of artists including Beth Adler, Kate Berry Brown, Meghan Borah, Dana De Ano, and Vanessa Filley. We will be hosting an opening reception on Friday, February 4th from 5 - 7 pm. Due to ongoing COVID restrictions, we are limiting the number of guests at the opening at one time, wearing masks, and will not be serving refreshments.
