My paintings are threaded through with the changing rhythms of each season and daily weather patterns over the fields of my farm. For instance, this past April a heavy wet snowfall blanketed the fresh spring leaves and blooming trees. I used fluid paint for motion and transparency on the top surface to seal up the under layers of history and my concerns about these events underneath.

I’m also continuing with my ongoing series of wheat field paintings. The textures and lines are reminiscent of paths created while gathering the grain and straw. These two twinned paintings are about the calm after the harvest.
